Basic data on pharma in CEETaking into account the pharmaceutical markets of six Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries, Poland is the largest pharmaceutical market in the region. In 2008 the pharmaceutical market in the country (excluding hospital sales) was worth €6.9bn, which represented a 20.3% y-o-y increase in euro terms. It was simultaneously, the most impressive y-o-y change achieved among the six countries analysed. In all six CEE countries the pharmaceutical market grew in 2008 compared to 2007. It should be noted however that in 2007 only the Hungarian market shrank by 2.8% in euro terms.
