Krka reports 5.6% sales drop in H1 2010 in Bulgaria

In the first six months of this year,
Krka, the Slovenian drug manufacturer, posted €5.1m sales revenues in Bulgaria, 5.6% drop in comparison to H1 2009, when the company posted €5.4m. Bulgarian sales in the period in question were driven by Lorista (losartan), Atoris (atorvastatin), Enap (enalapril) and Rawel (indapamide). In H1 2010 the company launched the new products Co-Valsacor (valsartan/ hydrochlorothiazide), Emanera (esomeprazole) and Zyllt (clopidogrel) and added new forms to a number of existing brands.
Sales of Krka in the region of South-East Europe region which encompasses Romania, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Macedonia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Serbia and Albania were 8% higher y-o-y in H1 2010 and amounted to €68.7m.
