Centrul Medical Unirea (CMU), a major Romanian private provider of medical services, is the most likely prospective buyer of the controlling stake in Euroclinic,according to Ziarul Financiar. The cost of the acquisition is to be €15m-30m. MedLife and Medicover are said to also be considering the purchase.
Euroclinic operates a hospital and three medical centres in Bucharest. It has forecast sales of €10m for 2010. The firm's main shareholder is the Dutch financial group Eureko.
