Sales of Egis Romania increased 13% in October-June 2009/2010

The sales revenues of the Hungarian drug producer Egis increased by 13% in Romania between October 2009 and June 2010, i.e. the first nine months of the company's 2009/2010 fiscal year, to $14.7m (€11.6m). In March-June, i.e. company's Q3 2009/2010, sales dropped by 8% to $4m (€3.2m), this was offset by a strong performance in January-March when the company realised sales of $5.7m (€4.5m) - 36% more than in the analogous period of 2009.
Egis is part of Servier group which had a 5.3% share in the Romanian pharmaceutical market in 2009 and was the sixth biggest drug manufacturer in the country.
