Stada posted strong growth in H1 sales in Slovakia

In the first six months of 2010 sales generated by
Stada Pharma Slovakia, the subsidiary of Stada Arzneimittel increased by 22% y-o-y, reaching €3.4m. After adjustments due to the changes in the group portfolio and exchange rate movements, the sales increased by 16%. Sales of generic drugs, which is the core of the company’s business, accounted for €2.8m in H1 2010, up by 29% y-o-y. Sales of branded products amounted to €0.7m in H1 2009, slight increase of 1% compared to the same period of 2009.
Until second quarter of 2008, when Stada set up Stada Pharma Slovakia as a separate sales company, the group merely exported its pharmaceutical products to the Slovak market.
In 2009 the sales of Stada in Slovakia increased by 17%, totalling €5.7m. In 2008 the sales were €4.9m.
