The Hungarian National Centre for Epidemiology announced that HUF 35bn (€125m) has been allocated to the purchase of vaccines in the compulsory vaccination scheme in 2011. The centre also announced that starting from 2011 the pneumococcal vaccination will be on the list of compulsory vaccines, thus, it will be available free-of-charge. According to the Centre data the rate of vaccination in Hungary is outstandingly good, 95-97% of Hungarian children receive compulsory vaccines.
