Egis Group reports turnover of $5.3m in Czech Republic for April-June

In the third quarter of its 2009/2010 financial year, i.e. April-June 2010, the Egis Group, a prominent Hungarian pharmaceutical company, generated sales worth $5.3m (€4m) in the Czech Republic, a 7% reduction in comparison with the previous year. This result follows a 45% increase achieved in the second quarter. During the first nine months sales improved by 12% on a year-on-year basis, to $16.2m (€12.2m).
In the Eastern European region, under which results from the Czech market are reported, Q3 sales increased in value by 2% year on year, to $39.4m (€29.7m). In Q3 the Egis Group reported consolidated sales worth HUF 30.38bn (€107.9m), a 3% increase in comparison with the preceding year.
The Egis financial year runs from 1 October to 30 September.
