HUF 10bn to be spent on University of Pecs Medical School

The management of the University of Pecs Medical School intends to spend HUF 10bn (€37m) on the renovation of the hospital buildings and the development of a new 400-bed hospital unit. This is to be covered from EU funds. Construction work is due to begin in the second half of 2010 and to end in August 2012.
As we reported in Central Europe Pharma News on a previous occasion, at the beginning of 2010 the University of Pecs Medical School hospital was integrated with Baranya county hospital.
In 2010, HUF 75bn (€0.28bn) in total is to be spent on hospital development projects in Hungary with support from the EU.
