The hospital in the Slovak town of Malacky has purchased a distance electrotherapy device from Embitron, the Czech medical manufacturer, according to the SITA news agency. The device is used during rehabilitation after injuries and nervous system diseases and for pain relief. Therapy with the use of the device is reimbursed in full by obligatory health insurance and can be prescribed by a GP or a specialist. The distance electrotherapy technique used in the device enables the procedure to be carried out through clothes, dressings, plasters or support appliances.
Embitron, which is based in Plzen, in the Czech Republic, is a manufacturer of physiotherapy and rehabilitation medical equipment. It distributes its products to the EU countries, Russia, Canada, Egypt, Lybia, Indonesia and New Zealand.
