Remedia reports RON 3.5m profit for 2009

Remedia, the well-known Romanian pharmacy chain, reported a 14.8% year-on-year increase in sales revenues to RON 154.4m (€37m) for 2009. The company has recovered its profitability: in 2009 it made a net profit of RON 3.53m (€0.86m) after a loss of RON 3.03m (€0.7m) in 2008.

Remedia operates a chain of 45 pharmacies in 32 towns in the western part of Romania and also deals with the distribution of drugs in the country, working with 12 domestic and 34 foreign suppliers. The company is part of the Turus Group.
