Three Hungarian hospitals to spend HUF 7bn on development

The hospitals in Kisvarda, Mateszalka and Fehergyarmat have applied for HUF 7bn (€25.8m) in total for development from the Social Infrastructure Operational Programme.
The hospital in Kisvarda is planning to implement a project worth HUF 3.3bn (€12.2m). This will include the construction of a two-storey technological centre with a sterilisation unit, a 7-bed intensive care unit and four operating theatres. The new building will be connected to the emergency unit and will use the most modern medical equipment.
The hospital in Mateszalka intends to invest HUF 2.5bn (€9.3m) in the establishment of outpatient clinics, inpatient neurology, gynaecological, and stroke units, a fitness room and an operating theatre.
Szatmar-Bereg hospital and spa aims to renovate its central technological unit and operating theatre. The institute also intends to purchase new equipment. The total cost of the development is estimated to be HUF 1.2bn (€4.4m).
