Krka, a Slovenian drug manufacturer, reported a 9% increase in revenue on the
Romanian market in 2009 to €32.1m. Last year’s results show that Krka’s sales in the country started to recover after a sharp, 28%, decline in 2008.
Romania therefore became the second largest market, after Croatia, for Krka in South-Eastern Europe, which also includes Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The sales of the company in this region were worth €128.5m in total in 2009, and its share as a proportion of total Krka sales was 13.5%.
