Synexus, the multi-national patient-recruitment and late-stage clinical trials company, has appointed Dr Erika Nemeth as its new Country Manager for Hungary, with a brief to accelerate the firm’s expansion in what Synexus sees as one of the most promising markets in the region.
Ms. Nemeth previously served as the company's Operations Manager in Hungary. In the words of Dr Christian Tueni, Synexus Regional Director for Central and Eastern Europe, she is ideally placed to work “to extend the number of trials run in Hungary and to support the business development team.”
Following its acquisition of ClinPharm of Germany last month, Synexus has emerged as a leading player in the CEE region with 16 dedicated research sites. The deal doubled the company’s total population reach in Europe and lifted the global figure by 50% to over 30 million. The enlarged firm now has 26 sites in nine countries in Western Europe (the UK, Austria, Germany), Central and Eastern Europe (Poland, Hungary, Ukraine and Bulgaria), South Africa and Asia (India), and claims to be the world’s largest company focused entirely on the recruitment and running of clinical trials at its own dedicated research centres.
