Ropharma Brasov recorded sales revenues of RON 385.8m in 2011

Ropharma Brasov, a Romanian drug distributor, reported a 9.6% year on year increase in sales revenues to RON 385.8m (€89m) in 2011. There was a 3% year-on-year reduction in the company’s net profit, to RON 10.5 (€2.4m) during the period in question. According to company officials, there was a 10% increase in consolidated sales in 2011 in comparison with 2010, and this increase exceeded that of the overall Romanian pharmacy market (measured as retail pharmacy sales) by 2%.
The pharmacy chain owned by Ropharma Brasov recorded an 8% increase in sales to RON 282.5m (€65.2m), whereas the company’s distribution business grew by 15% to RON 103.3m (€23.8m).
