New contract research organisation established
2011-06-28
A contract research organisation called
Neox Europe has been established. The privately owned company, which has its headquarters in Prague, specialises in Phase I-IV clinical research. It was created when five separate companies decided to join forces and to extend their operations across more countries. The members of Neox Europe are:
Neox Czech (the largest member of the recently developed team),
BiTrial (which operates in Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Serbia),
Sermon (which operates in Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina),
MM Consulting (which is active in Austria, Germany and Switzerland) and
Neox Poland. The new company has more than 350 staff in 10 offices in 18 countries.
Petr Potuznik, the medical director of Neox Europe, has told
Central Europe Pharma News that the companies have already cooperated in many projects worked for different sponsors. They have now built an additional level on an existing structure, which means that they will keep their staff and will continue to benefit from their experience and expertise in the various countries, adding only the word “umbrella”, to denote one team.
According to Mr. According to Mr. Potuznik, Neox Europe chose Prague as the location of its headquarters because Neox Czech, the largest company in the group, was has been operating there since 1995 and because the choice made sense from a geographical and logistical point of view.
